how to clean a ring?

Proper care of wooden jewelry will ensure a long life for your wearable art piece. Just follow our three care and cleaning tips on storage, wearing and cleaning and you'll be able to enjoy your wooden jewelry for years to come.

Storage:

When you're not warned, don't leave your wooden jewelry in your car, in direct sunlight or in extreme temperatures. We recommend that you store your jewelry in an airtight bag at room temperature in a dark place. Your wooden jewelry is water resistant but should not be immersed in water or kept in a very humid place; if it gets wet, dry it immediately.

Wear it:

Avoid using hairspray, perfumes, lotions, etc. when wearing your jewelry. Also avoid contact with soaps, insect repellents, sunscreens or any harsh chemicals. Such products can cause discoloration or damage.

Cleaning:

If you notice that your piece is starting to look a little dull, simply use a cotton cloth to buff it in the direction of the wood grain. You can also use a small amount of beeswax or mineral oil to shine your piece, but excessive use will create an unsightly build-up. Apply according to the manufacturer's instructions.
